CO-PARENTING
Navigating Co-Parenting with Unity and Understanding.
Divorce introduces unique challenges, especially when children are involved. I recognize that the end of a marital relationship doesn't signify the end of the parenting journey. Rather, it marks a transformation of a parenting relationship that requires effective co-parenting strategies to ensure the well-being of the children involved.
Interactions with a former spouse during and after divorce can stir up old wounds, negative emotions, and destructive patterns. Research indicates that these ongoing negative interactions can have lasting impacts on children well into adulthood. Co-parenting is undoubtedly challenging, but it plays a critical role in fostering the best outcomes for children.
My mission at InTune Therapy is to provide guidance and support in navigating the complexities of divorce and co-parenting. I understand that children need consistent rules, structure, and positive coordination between homes to overcome the challenges associated with divorce. I strive to offer valuable insights into effective co-parenting strategies, emphasizing healthy communication, discipline, and establishing appropriate boundaries.
Regardless of whether both co-parents are actively involved or only one, my goal is to empower you with the tools to manage interactions, improve the quality of the parenting experience, and sometimes even find healing and peace in the midst of divorce. Collaborate with me to create a positive environment for your children, fostering resilience and minimizing the potential long-term impact of divorce.
It's essential to note that I am neither a court approved mediator nor child custody evaluator. I am not a legal expert, and I am not trained in legal matters or proceedings. In conjoint co-parenting therapy, both parties must agree to release any records to any party. Any reports of specific interactions with an ex-spouse revealed in individual therapy with one co-parent is legally hearsay and is not supportive evidence in any court hearing. InTune Therapy will not prioritize or align with one client over another. I am a legally mandated reporter and must report any reported active or imminent potential risk to vulnerable populations including children and elders.
